Keynote Fireside on “GENIUS and Stablecoins” at Vanderbilt’s Conference on Market Structure

On June 27, 2025, I joined Chris Giancarlo, former Chair of the CFTC, for a fireside chat on the GENIUS Act and stablecoins, at Vanderbilt Law School’s Conference on Market Structure in New York. The discussion was moderated by Robert Armstrong of the Financial Times. We discussed and debated the use cases for stablecoins, the impacts of the GENIUS Act, and the financial stability implications of the relationship between stablecoins and Treasuries.
