On February 6 I joined a panel on “Shadow Money” at the University of Michigan Law Federalist Society’s conference on “The Future of the Federal Reserve” in Ann Arbor, Michigan. On the panel with me were Dan Awrey (Cornell), Mark van der Weide (Federal Reserve), and Saule Omarova (Wharton). The discussion focused on stablecoins/digital assets, innovative payments, and the bank regulatory perimeter.
