On January 31 I joined a panel on AI in financial services at the Smoketree gathering in Palm Springs. My presentation focused on AI trends in 2026, including vibe coding, agents, and cyber risks, as well as a discussion of the proliferation of AI risk management frameworks, potential regulatory focus on evals and red teaming, and regulatory interest in using AI to clean up policy sludge.
